Hispanic Children Gain an Academic Edge When Their Education Starts Early |

In its final report, Para Nuestros Ninos, The National Task Force on Early Childhood Education for Hispanics, recommended that Hispanic children be enrolled in high quality Prekindergarten programs as early as possible to narrow the Hispanic-White achievement gap. To create a sound foundation in English and improve Third Grade outcomes, the Task Force also recommended that Hispanic children have the opportunity to learn in both English and Spanish.
