Words could be incorrectly finger spelled. When a finger spelling error happens, the signer should give facial and hand cues to acknowledge the error and starts spell again. Today, we will learn six more letters: u, v, w, x, y and z. This will finish our finger spelling course.
Congratulations! You have learned all the sign letters. You can start to finger spell any words you want to say. But to communicate in American Sign Language, you need not only to learn finger spelling, you also need to learn finger reading. It takes some time to learn to finger-read. You can try to practice the following: - Talk in fingerspelling to yourself in front of the mirror.
- Practice with your sign language partner.
- Use fingerspelling font in your emails with your partner.
